We are seeing a convergence of analytics workloads needing HPC type achitectures in both traditional servers and cloud. Analytics workloads are starting to be deployed at the edge of the wireless and wireline networks for a variety of use cases that require ultra low latency. In this presentation as HPC type computing gets deployed into the wireless 4G advanced and 5G networks, we show how some of the analytics workloads that have to be performed close to the edge of the network near users are well serviced using the low latency RapidIO enabled computing being worked on in the OCP. The presentation shows highly dense computing and Top of Rack Switching suitable for modular deployments in either central offices or ruggedized outdoor formats.
